Traditionally, ammonia has been used as a stabilizer and preservative in natural rubber latex, which has caused issues with irritating odors during handling. By removing ammonia, it can be used without experiencing unpleasant odors as a base for various adhesives and as a binder for wood chips, minerals, and soil. Additionally, natural rubber latex is a plant-based material harvested from rubber trees and is a biodegradable biomass material.
